During the first season of Beverly Hills, 90210, it was rumored that she and her on-screen twin brother, Jason Priestly, had an affair. Many years later, this rumor
was confirmed by Priestly on Howard Stern's radio show as well as in co-star Tori Spelling's tell-all book, sTori Telling. Around the second season of 90210,
Shannen became engaged to
Chris Foufas. After they broke up, Doherty suddenly married Ashley Hamilton, son of actor George Hamilton, who she barely knew. Less than four months later,
they divorced and Shannen began dating Dean Factor, a Max Factor cosmetics heir who started Smashbox cosmetics. They also were engaged and broke up
after Dean told police Shannen threatened him. Shannen was also supposedly engaged to actor Judd Nelson. After three broken engagements and a divorce in
quick sucession, Shannen then married Rick Salomon who starred in the infamous porno "One Night in Paris," with Paris Hilton and who later went on to marry
Pamela Anderson for a few days. Supposedly this marriage was annulled. Shannen was then captured topless by a hidden paparazzi on a remote beach with her

Doherty was once sentenced to either ten days in jail or twenty days of work-release duty, three years probation, and ordered to pay a $1,500 fine for drunk
